Lauren Conrad: celebpreneur.
“I am proud of the fact that I have parlayed what could have been a fleeting reality career into viable business ventures…”
Since her days on Mtv’s Laguna Beach and The Hills, America has watched reality starlet, Lauren Conrad, attempt to break into the fashion world. And succeed.
As a writer for an online column for Forbes financial magazine Lauren has made it clear that though she may be dismissed as a businesswoman because of her reality start, she actually has the chops and the right to be taken seriously in the worlds of fashion, business, and even literature. (Lauren writes a series of novels entitled LA Candy and also has a personal style guide by the name of  Style.)
Style lives on my desk at POSH and is chock full with simple, beautiful, trends and tips, and is extremely well written.
Lauren writes about her struggles with Kohls and Mtv in her column for Forbes and even hints at her new clothing line, Paper Crown. Read here!
Cheers to fantastic role models,

match made in heaven.
On Saturday I had the opportunity to visit LA on the day of the Debbie Reynolds Costume Collection auction. Though I couldn’t make it to the event, I followed it closely and studied the catalog as the day progressed. I thought it might be fun to pair some of what I saw with our gowns here at POSH.
This dress was worn by Grace Kelly in the 1956 classic, The Swan. She fell in love with the style and designer, Helen Rose, and asked her to make a similar gown for her wedding.
The appliqués and capped sleeves reminded me of a POSH gown, Kate.
Other highlights of the auction include Marilyn Monroe’s infamous white dress from The 7 Year Itch, which sold for 4.6 million and Hepburn’s black and white ascot dress from My Fair Lady, which sold for 3.6 million.
Cheers,
Jordan
