Janell Berté always wanted to design beautiful gowns. After graduating cum-laude from Drexel University’s fashion design program, she set off to California and realized her first fashion position at Elegance of Paris on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
As a young designer, she worked with the Hollywood elite before starting her own line of wedding gowns. Berté’s designs reflect classic, understated lines that allows the bride to shine.
Her designs have been sold in more than 120 bridal stores across the US including Vera Wang, Saks Fifth Ave, Neiman Marcus, Kleinfelds, Suky Rosan, and Doneckers to name a few. She has been featured in major bridal magazines including Brides, The Knot, Modern Bride, Bridal Guide, In Style, People, Elegant Bride, and Martha Stewart. Ms Berte’s gowns have seen been TV shows and featured in Focus Feature’s movie “Something New” with Simon Baker and Sanaa Lathan. Most recently Elle magazine spotlighted Ms. Berté’s designs in a fashion retrospective of influential designers.
Her work features sumptuous fabrics and laces from around the world… gowns that feel as wonderful to wear as they are spectacular to see. From inaugural balls, to the silver screen, to the stages of New York, this multiple award-winning designer makes every bride a star.
She is thrilled to call Lancaster,PA her home and POSH Bridal her headquarters where her gowns are designed and produced by a team of artisans that have been by her creative side for more than 20 years.
